Mon Espace Créateur - { My Creative Space }

This week I have been growing dolls! Not just any old doll. No, no! Little French mademoiselles just back from a delicious shopping trip down Rue de Cambon. Each one is slightly different and I can almost see them give a cheeky Parisian wink when I put their final touches on. It is true, French women, particularly Parisians, are impeccable dressers. They have such an air of confidence and mystique it is hard not to feel just a little bit dowdy even when you are dressed to the nines, freezing cold and wearing completely impractical travelling shoes i.e. heels (yes, I could be so vain!) I am amazed at the myriad of ways French women know how to tie a little square silk scarf (hérmes most likely!) or manage to avoid that curse of cold weather outings...hat hair!

My little ladies are kitted out in the latest from the Paris collections, soft white knee high boots (no, not vinyl...Mon Dieu!) and the obligatory berét worn just so. They will hopefully be in my little Etsy shop soon once I can cure myself of that horrendous illness...procrastination. I know it won't take me long to finish the last little faffy jobs in my store but oh it's so boring and I'd much rather be sewing, knitting...watching grass grow.

Poppet's creative space has been all VanGogh-ish with the arrival of some new crayons in the mail today. My little love has a habit of nibbling on crayons so I ordered some Honey Sticks . They are made from bees wax and non-toxic pigments and are safe for little hands...and mouths. They smell scrummy too. Ooops! Perhaps her nibbling may progress to munching now.

To spend a lovely evening in, make yourself a pot of tea (not a cup!) and pop over to the lovely Kirsty's blog to peek into other creative spaces and delight your craft senses.
