I wonder

Watching as she flits around a little garden I wonder...

Will she crouch on bended knee to tie up her babies' shoelaces, will her heart always draw her out of doors amongst growing things?

Will those long legs dance en pointe, will her arms cradle and aid the ailing and infirm, will her hands dig the earth?

Will she let her hair grow down her back; will it darken like mine did? Will she always walk with big confident strides and greet each new day with a "Good morning, world!" as she does now?

Will her curiosity lead her to amazing new places..will it take her far away?

But mostly I wonder will she be happy. My head wills it so, my heart says yes.

She wears a dress we made together from a vintage sheet and an embroidered doily. Our pattern was very crude (read; we made it up as we went!) so rather a large dart/seam was added to the front to pull it all in. Cool and roomy. Just what I want my poppets to explore this world in.

  8. What a cute dress. Steph I am sure that she will fly far and wind when she gets the chance (and am certain that she will come home to her darling Mumma who taught and encouraged much of her independence)
