"A portrait of my babies, once a week, every week."

Bijou -  How I so often find her. Hair all askew, t-shirt and undies, creating something wonderful...post it note stuck to her bottom.
Remy - Growing so very fast this little man of mine. Four nights without a bed time feed rather a gentle "no, no, no" when offered it. Straight to bed without a peep. Most of me is so very thankful that this "self weaning" is so calm and peaceful. A part of me is quietly heartbroken too.
Joining in with the beautiful Jodi.

  1. Wow Bijou is such a creative girl. I want to see what she is making! And it's amazing that Remy is self weaning, I'm sure it feels very bittersweet xxx

  5. The baggy undies and the post it are so sweet! I love how children have no inhibitions in that sense!
And weaning is bittersweet isn't it...so hard to let go of those intimate moments.

  7. Oh my goodness, just look at your little helpers! I definitely wasn't ready to wean Sofia, but my body had other plans for me and I had to listen. It's such a strange and bittersweet process. I'm sure certain moments won't be easy (as they weren't for me!) but I'm happy to hear that Remy seems to be taking to it so peacefully. Hoping your weeks is full of snuggles! :)

  8. Bijou and Miranda really are such twins ...just like their mumma's! such wonder is to be enjoyed with they grow a love for all things crafty and use that imagination...often they have better ideas because they are not clouded by the adult world! Loving dear Remy self weaning...what a wonderful gift to give mumma! Have a magical week ahead xx

  9. Oh Steph- clearly Bijou has been inspired by her clever and creative mama. Weaning is always better sweet, no matter who's idea it is. At least he is content this way. Beautiful pictures as always. X

  10. Where did my comment just go?! Oh dear. Bijou clearly has been inspired by her clever and creative mama. And the weaning, so hard but if he is content and the process is gentle it is for the best. Xx

  12. Self weaning can be so bitter sweet. Imp weaned when she was 14 months old. Squeak is still going strong at three years. Part of me is looking forward to having that part of "me" back. Another will be sad because she is my last nursling and that part of my life will be over.
